GMV collaborated with the 1st edition of the International Congress on Sustainable Architecture, that took place the 12th and 13th of November 2009 in Valladolid (Spain). GMV provided new proposals in vertical transportation in order to improve environmental conservation.
An example of GMV collaboration was the new valve group NGV exposition that took place during the congress. Thanks to new and advanced technologies, NGV has improved its safety system, has reduced the consumption and has improved environmental conservation.
The aim of this congress was to consider and propose sustainable and architectural urban models with minimal repercussion in the environment. Through proposals for cities and buildings zero CO2 emissions, the sector wants to achieve sustainability in edification in the twenty-first century. In a second stage, a proposal of cities and buildings with zero environmental impact is an obligatory objective for the future.
This initiative has the support and cooperation of public institutions such as Junta de Castilla y León, Valladolid city council, Valladolid University and the Construction Institute of Castilla y León. The two Official Colleges of Architects of the region have developed an excellent technical program, which includes speakers from national and international prestige in the field of architecture and in other areas related to sustainability.
